One of the most common questions asked about iPads is "how can I transfer files to and from the iPad?". Although there are many answers to this question (Edmodo, Google Drive, email etc) - the one I want to mention here is one that I had forgotten about - Goodreader. When I first got my hands on an iPad 3 years ago (was it only then ? - it seems like forever !) the must have app I kept reading about was Goodreader. I downloaded it. Looked at it for 5 minutes - it all looked too hard , so left it for about a year.
I then picked it up again when I needed to read PDF's. I started to see a use for it. I could annotate files - which came in handy for both administration and class. If a student sent me an assignment as a PDF, I could annotate it and email it back to them (I now do this through Edmodo).
The aspect I had forgotten about was Goodreader's ability to read your computer as a portable hard drive. By allowing file sharing on your computer, you can transfer files to and from your iPad. Very simple and efficient.
I have included a little video below. I apolozise for the poor quality. It was done in a rush - and transferring it to Youtube downgraded the quality even further. I will try to fix it up when I get time.
